CMS Rail Jam

We are very excited to kick off the season with our USASA Rail Jam qualifier. The Rail Jam has been added as a new USASA discipline and by competing this weekend you will earn valuable national points towards qualifying for the Rail Jam event at the USASA National Championships in early April at Copper Mountain. ALL ages are welcome to rise to the challenge and show off their skills in Hunter Mountain's Empire Park. Their park staff is working hard to provide us with a fun and innovative course. CMS Qualifier for USASA Rail Jam at Winter X Games

Once again USASA will be throwing a Rail Jam at the Winter X Games on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 and CMS is hosting a Qualifying Rail Jam on Sunday, January 15th at Hunter Mountain. The winners at Hunter will be invited to compete at the USASA Rail Jam at the Winter X Games.
We’re very excited to announce this year’s USASA Rail Jam at the Winter X Games will take place at the X Games PRO Rail Venue at Buttermilk- Aspen, CO.
Last year, CMS athletes Michael Galdi and Sean Maben qualified and had a blast representing us at the X Games. Michael showed them what East Coast Hardcore is all about and took 1st place for Skier Men.
The USASA event at the 2012 Winter X Games will be 30 Snowboard Men, 15 Snowboard Women and 30 Ski Men, 15 Ski Women. Each USASA series can qualify one athlete in each group, and CMS is hosting a qualifying event so 4 of our athletes can compete out at the Winter X Games.

Empire State Games open to all CMS Members

The Empire State Winter Games are now open to all CMS members, as well as any USASA members in the Adirondack and Western New York regions. Those athletes that competed in last year’s Winter Games can register until December 31st and then registration will be open to all others until the quotas are filled.
If you are interested in participating in the Empire State Winter Games, please read the info below and register with Mike Kirchner as soon as possible to assure your spot.
Qualifying Criteria
All participants must be current members of one of the United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA) regions within New York State (Catskills, Western New York, or Adirondack). New York State residency is no longer required.
General Info
The Boardercross/Skiercross and Slopestyle events will take place at Whiteface Mountain and will be conducted by the New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF) in accordance with USASA rules.
Registration
- Athletes who took part in the 2011 Games will be eligible to register on or before December 31, 2011 in either or both disciplines.
