Once again USASA will be throwing a Rail Jam at the Winter X Games on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 and CMS is hosting a Qualifying Rail Jam on Sunday, January 15th at Hunter Mountain. The winners at Hunter will be invited to compete at the USASA Rail Jam at the Winter X Games.

We’re very excited to announce this year’s USASA Rail Jam at the Winter X Games will take place at the X Games PRO Rail Venue at Buttermilk- Aspen, CO.

Last year, CMS athletes Michael Galdi and Sean Maben qualified and had a blast representing us at the X Games. Michael showed them what East Coast Hardcore is all about and took 1st place for Skier Men.

The USASA event at the 2012 Winter X Games will be 30 Snowboard Men, 15 Snowboard Women and 30 Ski Men, 15 Ski Women. Each USASA series can qualify one athlete in each group, and CMS is hosting a qualifying event so 4 of our athletes can compete out at the Winter X Games.

Anyone can compete at our Qualifying Rail Jam – they can sign up for free trial membership if they’ve never competed with us before. Qualifiers MUST BE (or become) FULL USASA members if they are going to compete at the USASA Rail Jam at the Winter X Games. If you compete in our regional event as a free trial or One Day member and qualify, you MUST join as a FULL member before you can receive an invitation. Click here for membership info.

Each qualified athlete with be invited and pre-qualified to compete in Colorado. They will get an invitation to register online, just like Nationals, and have a deadline in which to login and accept the invitation and register. If they do not accept and register online by January 25th the spots will be given to the open registration list. Any spots not filled by pre-qualified athletes will be available to anyone registering online. There will be a waiting list created in the registration system so to earn a pre-qualified invite through CMS will be worth a lot.

The USASA Rail Jam is an event happening in the Pro Rail Venue of the 2012 Winter X Games - the same one the X Games will use Thursday night for the TV show with the pros. USASA Athletes WILL get to compete in front of the 2012 X Games crowd and be a part of the big experience. The athletes WILL get a great deal of exposure and they WILL be winning prize money.
